Ballads & Songs: Sam Carter sings Nic Jones (Sat)
A heartfelt celebration of one of folk’s most influential voices. Nic Jones’s ground breaking guitar style and emotive singing inspired generations of musicians. Though his career was cut short by a car accident in 1982, his influence endures. Sam brings Nic’s timeless songs back to the stage for one season only;
a rare chance to hear this remarkable repertoire live.

The folk music legends that are Vicki Swan & Jonny Dyer in their medieval alter egos are joined by our own home-grown Maranella to travel back into the age of the troubadours and minstrels of medieval Europe. Expect a mixture of songs and tunes, stories, stunning musicianship and quirky humour— what’s not to like?
A Flavour of France (Sat/Sun)
A day of French and European music & dance starts with our popular dance and music workshop, Rondez-vous. The afternoon is nicely rounded off by a Mini Bal featuring Dave Vaughan and local dance band Helianthus. Then on Sunday there is a Euro Session

Songs welcomed on the generality of the working class struggle, which still continues! There will be an opportunity for songs from everyone who turns up. The field is broad.
