Volunteer at the Folk Festival

The Chester Folk Festival thrives thanks to the generosity and dedication of volunteers who give their time to make it all happen. From organising events to welcoming guests, our friendly team is at the heart of the festival’s success.

Join the Team

You can volunteer as a Steward - you will be required to work up to 12 hours during the weekend. The duties will be varied covering the main gate & camp sites, and shifts at festival venues where you will be facilitating, checking wristbands and, in some cases, selling event tickets on the door.

Alternatively, you can volunteer as Site Set up/Breakdown Staff If you are available before or after the weekend (i.e. from Wednesday 21st May and on Tuesday 27th May). Note that you should be capable of bending, lifting and carrying.
